Welcome to our Vision and Values page, the heart of everything we do at Bligh Primary School. As a proud member of the Maritime Academy Trust, we are dedicated to providing our children with the essential building blocks and diverse opportunities they need to shape their own destinies and grow into successful, valuable members of our community. Our school culture is defined by our "HEART" values—Honesty, Empathy, Achievement, Resilience, and Teamwork—which, alongside our commitment to being "Ready, Respectful, and Safe," create a nurturing environment where every child is empowered to make ambitious choices for their future.

Vision

Our vision is to give every child the opportunity to make positive choices about their lives especially when they are adults. There is no greater gift than choice. As a significant part of this, we expect all our children to be ready for their secondary school experience. This is academically, socially and emotionally. We have ambition for all our children and the wider community. We strive to ensure that every child is ready for the next stage of their education with out compromise.

Objective

Our mission is to provide an education which unlocks children’s potential by being fun, engaging and active. Learning beyond the classroom and the acquisition of academic and life skills.

Values

The school values represent our expectations of how all children and adults at our school behave. Our values are talked about daily and form the most important part of school life. They are the virtues we expect to see in all our children and form the basis of all healthy relationships within our school.
